Middle School Clubs at St Andrew's Cathedral School

Please see a list of the clubs at SACS for Middle Schoolers. These clubs are open to all, if you would like more information on any of the clubs below, please attend or contact the teacher in charge.

There is also a range of co-curricular clubs, including sport, which are managed by Ms Kelson. Please email her if you have any questions regarding these clubs.

Environmental Club

WHEN: Monday’s at Lunch

WHERE: S426 just near the Middle School Library.

Open to all Middle Schoolers who are keen to make SACS more eco-friendly. All you need to bring is your lunch and your ideas. Mrs Skipsey and Mrs Ball would love to see the club grow. This club is a Middle School Service Opportunity.

GirlsInTech

WHEN: Monday’s at Lunch & Monday after school 3:30-4:30pm

WHERE: Level 4 Middle School Library

GirlsInTech is a safe space for Middle School girls to come and learn how to code. It is great for any girl who is interested in design and digital technologies and who likes making things. Please see Mrs Hoermann if you’d like more information.

Knitting Club

WHEN: Tuesday’s at Lunch

WHERE: Level 4 Middle School Library

Join Mrs Skipsey for knitting club, all materials provided. We’re very grateful to have the assistance of Ms Hill, Mrs Chambers and Ms Campbell to help out when things get a little messy! We’re knitting an extra special blanket for Anglicare made from some very nice wool that has been donated. This club is a Middle School Service Opportunity.

Middle School Book Club

Middle School book club is starting up again this term. Mrs Staples and the Librarians will give you the first look at new books, and recommend great titles. So please join us and bring along whatever book you are reading to recommend to other students.

Robobtics Club

WHEN: Thursday’s at Lunch & Thursday after school 3:30-4:30pm

WHERE: Level 4 Middle School Library

The Robobtics club is run by Mr Kemp and Mrs Hoermann, as a way for students to experiment, share and learn about technology.

SCInema

Speakup Club

WHEN: Tuesday’s at Lunch

WHERE: Green Room, S415, Level 4 Middle School Library

An awesome student-led club for Year 7-9 students with neurodiversities.

What happens when you SpeakUp?

  1. Grab lunch and come to room S415
  2. Enjoy an activity - quick and usually silly; just for fun while everybody arrives
  3. Chew - on lunch and the info shared by whoever wants to speak or on a specific challenge posed to the group
  4. Help or Hear - pool experiences, share tips and strategies, voice support, listen, and/or address the challenge or just chat
  5. Wrap up - physically tidy up, arrange a later time to cap-off conversations, etc.
  6. Head back to lockers and next class
